Old Dominion picked up its’ first men’s basketball commit of the 2025 class this weekend and this news continues a trend of landing highly rated players for Mike Jones and his staff.
Zacch Wiggins, ranked a three-star prospect by 24/7 sports, committed this weekend after visiting for the open practice and the football game against Virginia Tech. The 6’5 wing from Greensboro, N.C. holds offers from Maryland, Charlotte, JMU, ECU, UNCG, George Mason, Hampton and NCA&T.
Zacch is a versatile player who can hit shots at all 3 levels, can slash, rebound and finish above the rim. Zacch is the first of what figures to be a small recruiting class of 2 student athletes with just two seniors for ODU in 2024 in Imo Essien and RJ Blakney, assuming no portal exits happen (knock on wood).
