ODU Strong
Before we get to this week's updates, let me first state that we are heartbroken after the terrorist attack on campus yesterday.
Lt Col Brandon Shah was a great Monarch who led a life of service to this great nation with bravery and who returned to ODU to assist in the maturation of the next generation of officers. We have been told that he put off other career opportunities in order to stay at ODU and work with the cadets because he loved it so much. He was a major supporter of our athletic programs and our university and his loss is one that will be felt for a long time at ODU.
And for those ROTC students, your actions saved who knows how many lives. And all of Monarch Nation, the 757, the commonwealth and our great nation are thankful for your bravery. If you ever need anything, you have a lot of people ready to do what is needed to assist.
For the students, friends and family of those impacted by yesterday's events, we will be praying for God to watch over you.
Alma Mater, hear our singing. Voices fill the blue, Over Norfolk waters ringing in our praise of you.
