This will be a continuing series where we ask the members of the 2025 class for ODU football the same questions to get to know them better and learn more about their recruitment at Old Dominion. Next up in this series for the 2025 class, Botros Alisandro.

Botros is a 6'1, 186 lb., corner from Manchester, New Hampshire, and transfers to Old Dominion from Purdue where he appeared in 12 games as a sophomore and started 12 games as a junior, amassing 50 tackles, 4 passes defended and 1 interception. He is a lengthy corner who brings a ton of high level football experience and should plug in at one of the 2 starting corner spots.

Do you have a nickname you prefer to go by?

My nickname is Boat.

Who was your lead recruiter and how would you describe your relationship with the staff?

I talked with Coach Seiler a lot.

When entering the portal, what were the most important things you were looking for in a new program?

I was looking for a program with a great cornerback coach and a great staff.

On the visits you have made to campus, what stood out the most to you?

Everything. ODU looked like a place I can succeed.

What other offers were you considering?

I had other FBS offers but ODU was the obvious choice.

What made you pick ODU over your other offers?

My relationship with the staff. This the second time I was recruited by ODU and the staff. The first time they recruited me was out of JuCo. They hit my phone when I entered the portal and we already had that connection.

For those who haven’t seen you play, could you describe your skillset?

I am an aggressive, physical corner and I make plays.

Cornerback is arguably the toughest position on the field. What do you think is the most challenging thing about it? And what makes you love playing the position?

When you are playing corner you can’t have an off day, you have to bring it every day.

What has been your favorite moment or highlight from your football career so far?

I don’t know what my favorite moment is but that feeling when you get an interception is undefeated.

If you weren’t playing football, what other sport would you want to play in college?

Football is it for me. I don't have love for other sports like I do football.

If you were a boxer or UFC fighter, what would your entrance music be?

"Who run it" by G Herbo.

What is your message for Monarch Nation?

I’m thankful to be apart of the family and I’m ready to work!
