This is the place where we are going to track all of the outgoing and incoming student athletes as we best can. There will be multiple categories. Three for outgoing and four for incoming.
First up under outgoing will be those who walked on senior day and those listed as seniors, which we are going to call “Graduating”. This doesn’t include every player who graduated or who is done playing football, just the ones we have clear evidence that they graduated and are likely moving on. There are players that walked who may have remaining eligibility. For example, in 2022, the following players walked and transferred out (Damion Charity, Blake Watson, Ali Jennings and Aaron Moore) and Isaiah Spencer walked but returned to ODU.
The next group for outgoing is “transfers out”. This is pretty self-explanatory. I will note that ODU graduates could be in this category, they likely just graduated early.
The final group for outgoing is called "no longer on roster". These are guys who were on the roster in the fall but fell off without a portal announcement. They likely have retired from football.
The first group for incoming will be “Committed”. Since these high school class of 2025 student athletes haven’t signed their grant and aid paperwork yet, we have to keep open the possibility that they could possibly still change directions on where they attend school, making the distinction important from the next group.
The next group for incoming will be “Signed”. This category that is self-explanatory.
The next group is JUCO and since they can sign when they're ready, they don't need to be included in the signed group.
The fourth group for incoming will be “Transfers In”. Transfers can sign as soon as they pick a school, so no need to wait for a signing day to celebrate them as additions to the roster.
The next group is needed but stings a bit. It's the "decommitted" list. And the final group for incoming will be “Walk-Ons”. Another self-explanatory group. For more information on the incoming class, please visit this link.
