This will be a continuing series where we ask the members of the 2025 class for ODU football the same questions to get to know them better and learn more about their recruitment at Old Dominion. Next up in this series for the 2025 class, Jack Sheehan.

Do you have a nickname you prefer to go by?
No, just Jack.
Who was your lead recruiter and how would you describe your relationship with the staff?
Coach Hutt was mainly the coach who kept up with me the most along with Coach Rahne. Loved talking to them weekly about our upcoming games.
On your visit, did anything stand out for you and if so, what?
I’m going on my OV (official visit) this weekend but I’ve now been up there multiple times on unofficial visits. I love the culture they have going there right now. They want to win and, it is apparent, it is a family.
What other offers were you considering?
Going through my recruitment I always had thought I was going to be a P4 Kid. But coming down to it, it was between ODU and ECU.
What made you pick ODU over your other offers?
Tough decision for me with my dad playing football at ECU and my mom playing soccer at ECU. Always grew up an ECU fan. But the staff showed me where the program was going and ODU just felt like home.
If you had to pick a player to compare your game to, who would you pick and why?
Christian Darrisaw. I always liked the way he explodes of the ball with good footwork.
What has been your favorite moment or highlight from your football career so far?
It’s hard to just pick one. But winning the state chip my freshman year has to be up there. Winning a conference championship is special (I did it 4 times), but winning the whole thing was very fun.
If you weren’t playing football, what other sport would you want to play in college?
Now, I never played football until my freshman year. I played soccer, basketball, and baseball, never football. I was quite the goalie but couldn’t stand in net anymore. I love to hoop and played my freshman year. So I would probably have to continue down that road, if not for football.
If you were a boxer or UFC fighter, what would your entrance music be?
Now my favorite music is R&B but that doesn’t make great walk out music. If I had to pick, maybe something by Westside Gunn.
What is your message for Monarch Nation?
Get excited for the future. With what the staff has cooking and the dedication and talent coming to Norfolk, the country isn’t going to be ready for ODU!
Stay tuned for the next Q&A with the class of 2025 for ODU football. In the meantime, go give Jack a follow on twitter/X. For a complete look at the 2025 class, tap in here!
